Exciting Start to the FNB Women Super League: Opening Weekend Thrills in Windhoek

Windhoek, Namibia – The highly anticipated FNB Women Super League kicked off this weekend with a display of women’s football at the UNAM Stadium in Windhoek. While the full roster of twelve teams wasn’t in action, only four teams took to the field on the opening weekend.
The opening day was expected to be filled with goals, but it turned out to be a day of surprises. In a thrilling encounter, VPower Angels displayed their prowess by defeating a rusty NUST Babes with a 4-2 victory.
Meanwhile, FC Ongos had their hands full when they faced Arrow Ladies. Despite their national team entourage, FC Ongos struggled to contain the fierce competition presented by Arrow Ladies. At the end of a challenging match, FC Ongos managed to secure two goals, but it was a clear indicator of the tough competition the league promises.
Sunday’s matches continued with Arrows Ladies holding VPower Angels to a thrilling two-all draw. In the other Sunday match, FC Ongos seemed to have found their scoring boots, as they scored five goals past NUST Babes.
