Police hunting for knife murderer

The Namibian Police in Oshakati have requested the public to assist them in finding a man who stabbed a young woman, the 24-year-old Mweedombe Lebeka Ndiilokelwa, to death with a knife during an argument.

According to the incident report provided by NamPol, the body of the victim was found in a water pan near the Ehenye residential area of Oshakati.

It was reported that a security guard, on duty at a nearby business saw how the man stabbed the woman.

The man fled the scene of the vicious crime on foot.

The security guard informed the police and her body was found at the spot that he indicated.

An Okapi knife, sandals and a floppy hat that is suspected to belong to the murderer were found near the remains of the victim, who is a resident of the Oshoopala location and a student that attends classes at Namcor in Ongwediva.

Ndiilokelwa’s body was identified by her cousin on Wednesday who said that she was born in Ohandiwa ya Kapombo in 1998.

Any person who might have information about the stabbing or who might know the whereabouts of the suspect has been requested to contact the nearest police station in order for investigators to effect an arrest.
