B2Gold generates N$12 billion in gold revenue

B2Gold Namibia generated more than N$12 billion in gold revenue in 2025 from its Otjikoto Mine. This is according to figures released by the company.

The mine produced 199 139 ounces of gold, resulting in a profit after tax of N$4.6 billion.

The company paid N$3.8 billion to the Namibian government. 

This included N$3.156 billion in corporate tax, N$325 million in royalties, N$124 million in export levies and N$232 million in non-resident shareholder tax.

B2Gold also paid N$755 million in wages and benefits to its workforce.

The company returned N$5.1 billion to shareholders, including B2Gold Corp and EVI Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd.

Its operations supported suppliers through procurement spending of N$2.6 billion. 

Of this, N$1.4 billion was spent within Namibia. Out of 399 permanent employees, 98% are Namibian. Women now hold 23% of management positions, up from 9% in 2022.

The company invested N$32 million in community projects near its operations.

The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) recently recognised B2Gold Namibia as one of the country’s top taxpayers at the 2026 Taxpayer and Trader Appreciation Day.

Other companies recognised in the domestic tax category included Debmarine Namibia, Swakop Uranium and Rössing Uranium Limited.

In the customs and excise category, the top award went to Namibia Breweries Limited.

NamRA said the companies recognised continue to contribute to government revenue and support economic growth.

Debmarine Namibia said it reduced its 2025 production forecast to 1.5 million carats, down from 1.8 million carats in 2023.

The company also said it is seeking exemption from new diamond import tariffs introduced by the United States.
