Bank Windhoek has appointed Deolinda Shikalepo as head of procurement, effective 1 January 2026.
Shikalepo has more than ten years of experience in procurement. Her background includes contract management, compliance, supplier relationship management and tender administration. She has worked in financial services, manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods.
She progressed from operational procurement roles to senior leadership positions. In these roles, she oversaw high-value contracts, led tender processes and implemented cost-control measures.
In her new position, Shikalepo will provide strategic direction and governance oversight for the bank’s procurement function.
She will manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, contracting, supplier management and policy implementation. Her role includes ensuring that procurement processes remain transparent, ethical and aligned with the bank’s objectives.
She will lead the procurement team in supporting the bank’s operations, overseeing sourcing activities and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
Shikalepo holds a Diploma in Procurement and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
She also holds an LLB (Honours) from the University of Namibia and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
Bank Windhoek’s chief financial officer and interim specialist finance executive officer, Zenaune Kamberipa, welcomed the appointment and said the procurement function plays an important role in supporting the bank’s operational and strategic goals.
