Bank Windhoek has retained its position as the market leader in vehicle financing for the fourth consecutive year.
The announcement was made by the bank’s chief financial officer, Zenaune Kamberipa, during the Bank Windhoek Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF) Selekt Sales Awards.
In the sales categories, JP Geldenhuys from Pupkewitz Toyota was named top salesperson of the year for new vehicles, with Stefan Botes from Gobabis Toyota taking silver.
Jhandre Nel and Genivo Mouton of Indongo Auto shared bronze. For used vehicles, Kobus Prins of Zeda Cars won gold, followed by Roux Jeffery of Pupkewitz Toyota with silver and Tobias Lucas of Indongo Toyota with bronze.
Dealerships were also recognised for their performance.
Pupkewitz Motor Division dominated the Namibian franchise dealer category, taking gold in both the new and used vehicle awards. Indongo Auto secured silver in both categories, while Metje & Ziegler earned bronze in the new vehicle category. Novel Motor Company placed third in the used vehicle category.
In the Rural Namibian Franchise Dealer Award, Simon Motors Mariental and Redco Motors, trading as Gobabis Toyota, took gold and silver.
In the Truck Dealer of the Year (Rural) category, NORS Namibia Vehicles, Spare Parts and Services won gold, Autohaus Truck and Bus received silver, and Scania Namibia took bronze.
Capital City Prestige Auto, Windhuk Motors, and Windhoek Carzone Auto Sales won gold in the ownership dealer category. Silver and bronze awards went to Dub Motors, Autoworld, Danlou Motors, Investment Cars, and Carlink.
Simon Motors Mariental was named the top fleet dealer, while Stefan Mans Auto Consultant (SMAC) received the rising star dealer award. Zimmerman Garage was awarded independent franchise dealer of the year.
The finance and insurance champion award went to Jason Engelbrecht of Metje & Ziegler, with Yolande Cloete and Shahida du Plessis of Indongo Auto taking silver and Helen Van Wyk of Novel Motor Company earning bronze.
Bank Windhoek VAF Branch staff members Winnie Ipinge (retail) and Riaan Gouws (corporate) received the VAF champion award.
Hosted in the central, coastal, and northern regions, the annual Bank Windhoek VAF Selekt Awards recognise outstanding individuals and dealerships for their achievements and contributions to the automotive industry during the previous financial year.
