The Bankers Association of Namibia (BAN) has appointed Dantagos Naomi Jimmy as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 July 2025.
Jimmy brings more than 20 years of experience in investment management, financial markets, corporate governance, and strategic advisory.
She founded Ndapunikwa Investment Management (Pty) Ltd and has held senior roles at the Bank of Namibia, Alexander Forbes Investments, and IJG Securities.
She holds a BSc in International Management from La Roche College in the United States and an MBA in General and Strategic Management from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.
She also completed executive training through the Senior Management Development Programme at the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa. Jimmy is currently pursuing an MSc in Development Finance at the University of Namibia (Unam).
She has served as a non-executive director and trustee for organisations such as Simonis Storm Securities, TransNamib Holdings, Namibia Health Plan, and Allan Gray Namibia.
She chairs the Unam Foundation and is an honorary member of the Namibia Institute of Corporate Governance.

“Her visionary leadership, strategic insight, and deep understanding of the financial ecosystem will be instrumental in advancing BAN’s mission to serve as the forum for advocacy on policy matters affecting the banking industry while promoting sustainability, innovation, fairness, financial inclusion, and transformation,” added Kali.
Jimmy’s appointment comes as BAN looks to strengthen its role in driving collaboration among banks, regulators, and key stakeholders in support of financial stability and economic development.
