After diverting its flights to the Oliver Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg over the past weekend due to uncertainties created by the eviction of Menzies Aviation Namibia as the ground handling service provider at the Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA), Eurowings Discover will resume direct flights to Namibia.

Paragon Aviation Services have successfully taken over ground handling services ever since the eviction of Menzies from the premises of the Namibia Airports Company early on Saturday morning.

Eurowings Discover announced that two of its aircraft will depart from Frankfurt on Monday evening and these flights will arrive at the HKIA this morning.

Just like Qatar Airways and all other airlines that operate at HKIA, Eurowings will continue with their flights to and from HKIA and their flights will be handled by Paragon Aviation Services.

After initially diverting their flights on Saturday, Qatar Airways successfully landed and took off from HKIA on Sunday and ground handling services were efficiently provided to it by Paragon.

Qatar Airways announced that will continue its flight operations to and from HKIA.

A representative of Paragon Aviation Services said that all flight operations at HKIA are continuing in an orderly fashion as usual and ground handling services are being ably provided by the company.

On Monday, Paragon Aviation Services handled nine arriving flights and 11 departing flights.

The representative indicated that a flight from Ethiopian Airlines was handled in record time and departed ten minutes early.

Paragon Aviation Services extended its gratitude for the unwavering support during the initial days of ground handling operations at the international airport.

The company said it is thrilled to see the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by all involved.
