FNB Namibia has been named a Top Employer in Namibia and Africa for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute, marking the second consecutive year the bank has received the recognition.
FNB said the certification reflects its focus on building a high-performing organisation through data-driven people strategies, independent assessment and practices that support business performance, employee engagement and growth.
Commenting on the award, Isdor Angula, chief human capital officer at FirstRand Namibia, said the recognition “reflects our commitment to our people, which is unwavering. It demonstrates the consistency and intentionality of how the organisation invests in its people.”
“It is always an honour to receive such a prestigious recognition. To receive it for the second time is an even greater honour, as it affirms that we are not only doing what matters, but we are doing so consistently,” Angula said.
FirstRand Namibia Group chief executive officer Conrad Dempsey said investing in people is central to the group’s long-term vision for the country.
“Building a globally competitive Namibia starts with investing in people. Our people are our greatest asset, and it is our responsibility to create an environment that enables them to perform at their best,” Dempsey said.
The group’s people strategy aims to attract, develop, and retain talent, while fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and shared purpose.
Active in 131 countries and regions, the above Top Employers Institute evaluates organisations based on business and employee lifecycle criteria. These include people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition and development, wellbeing, work-life balance, diversity and inclusion, and employee satisfaction.
FNB said the 2026 certification again positions the bank as an employer of choice in Namibia and across Africa.
“Our philosophy has not changed; our people are at the heart of our business. They drive our strategy, our innovation and our growth. We are deeply committed to creating an environment where our people can thrive, grow and deliver exceptional value to our clients and wider communities,” Angula said.
