Ananias Paulus, known as Kastyle Ndonga Boy, has released his sixth album, titled “The Message from an Underrated Man”. Born and raised in Oshigambo in the Oshikoto region, Paulus began his music journey in 2021 and has since become one of the country’s rising artists.

He discovered his passion for music after realising he had a gift that could heal and share wisdom through songs. Since then, music has become his way of inspiring and teaching life lessons.

Speaking to the Windhoek Observer in a telephonic interview, Paulus said his biggest inspiration came from the Namibian artist and NAMA Award winner Tulina Ndafyaalako, popularly known as Young T wokOngha.

“I started singing in 2021, and when I entered the industry, I was inspired by Young T. He inspired me through the kind of music he does. His music carries a message that fits all age groups, and so does mine,” he said.

Paulus described his genre as one that promotes the preservation of cultural heritage.

“If you see the name of my album, you might have many questions. I named it that way because of how the system is. I am delivering the message that is needed to maintain our cultural heritage,” he said.

He expressed that the album title mirrors his sense of underappreciation, yet he utilises his platform to convey significant messages through his songs.

“Our generation needs songs that instill values and morals in them. To achieve that, we must do it through music. It is a generation that mostly listens to music, and that is the way we will reach them,” he added.

Paulus said he continues to promote his own work without the help of promoters and relies on his music for survival.

“If the government were to take us seriously and assist us in the art industry, we would thrive, but the ignorance we are getting from the government will kill our talents,” he said.

He encouraged upcoming artists to focus on creating music with purpose.

“The upcoming artists should consider doing it that way,” he said. “With the evolution of technology, the youth and most people are going through hardships and deserve motivation, especially through music.”

The new album features collaborations with several local artists, including Five, SJ Munene, Makila, War Force, Money Mike, Jojo and Skyla.

Kastyle Ndonga Boy’s previous releases include Heal the World (2021) and The Recovery of the Shaking Wolf (2025 EP), both available on digital streaming platforms such as YouTube, Apple Music, and Audiomack.

Paulus expressed gratitude to Yahonga Investments, Lucas Shilongo, Kondja KK Matheus, Kahenge Gabriel, and DJ Pan for supporting his music journey.
