Kauandenge abandons presidential contest

The National Unity Democratic Organisation’s (NUDO) Secretary General, Joseph Kauandenge has decided to withdraw from the party’s internal presidential race.

NUDO Parliamentary Executive Secretary, Kavetjiko Zaongara announced on Tuesday that Kauandenge will not contest for any position at the party’s elective congress slated for 13 July 2024.

“After further reflection, he has decided to withdraw his candidacy to run for the presidential position, and neither will he run for any other positions at the upcoming elective congress. He will share the reasons for his withdrawal at a press conference scheduled for Wednesday,” Zaongara said.
