Momentum Metropolitan Namibia has appointed Evangelina Nailenge as the executive for retail distribution, effective March.

In this role, she will lead distribution strategy and focus on improving access to financial services through adviser and broker networks.

Nailenge has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, including over a decade in executive roles.

She previously served as managing director of Momentum Investments Namibia, where she oversaw asset management, wealth and collective investment schemes.

During her tenure, the business recorded growth in assets under management and administration while improving client outcomes and retention.

She has also served as a non-executive director on public and private sector boards, focusing on governance and strategy.

Nailenge holds a master’s degree in commerce and an honours degree in commerce, both specialising in money and banking, as well as an undergraduate degree in economics.

Momentum Metropolitan Namibia group chief executive officer Sakaria Nghikembua said her appointment supports the company’s focus on client access to financial services.

“Evangelina brings exceptional leadership experience and a deep understanding of the Namibian market. At the heart of our distribution strategy is a simple belief that every Namibian deserves access to quality financial solutions that protect and grow what matters most to them. Evangelina’s appointment is a direct commitment to making that a reality,” he said.

He added: “Evangelina brings the experience and vision necessary to consolidate a model that puts clients first. I look forward to raising service excellence for our clients and growing the business through her leadership.”
