MTC brings first mobile home to Divundu

Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) has expanded its service reach by opening three new Mobile Homes, marking the first for Divundu and the second for both Rundu and Katima Mulilo. The outlets are set to open to the public in the first week of November.

MTC chief commercial officer Octivius Kahiya said the move forms part of the company’s expansion strategy to improve access to its services across the country.

“Strategic to business, the decision to open these new mobile homes is to allow more citizens to have easy access to the crucial MTC services. The populace of Divundu no longer has to travel to Rundu in search of our services. They now have their first-ever presence of an MTC retail shop. On the other hand, Rundu and Katima Mulilo only had one MTC shop in the past,” said Kahiya.

He said the growing population in Rundu and Katima Mulilo created the need for additional outlets.

“The queues at our shop in Rundu and Katima Mulilo were always long; however, the opening of the second shop in each of the two towns will bring relief, convenience, and satisfaction to our customers,” he said.

The new mobile homes will offer services such as account payments, device purchases, SIM replacements, airtime sales, and customer support.

The facilities are also designed to provide digital financial services and other telecommunications solutions.

In July, MTC opened two new shops in Windhoek and Omuthiya.

The latest openings bring the total number of new mobile homes launched this year to five.

“Opening five mobile homes in a space of four months is a sheer statement of our commitment to taking the service closer to the people. Customer service is the essence of our business operations. We are always thinking of ways to better and make the lives of our people easy,” said Kahiya.
