Two operating companies within the Ohlthaver & List Group (O&L) have received recognition at the SADC Quality Awards 2025/2026.

Hartlief and O&L Leisure were awarded certificates of recognition at a ceremony held in Johannesburg on 25 March 2026.

Hartlief was recognised in Category 4: Exporter of the Year (Large Enterprise), while O&L Leisure received recognition in Category 3: Service of the Year (Large Enterprise).

The awards were accepted by Beverly Jandrell, who represented both companies at the event.

O&L executive chairman Sven Thieme said the recognition reflects the group’s focus on operations and its Vision 2029 strategy.

He said acknowledgement from the Southern African Development Community shows the group’s standards align with regional benchmarks.

The chief executive officer of the Namibian Standards Institution, Eino Mvula, welcomed the achievement and congratulated the group.

The SADC Quality Awards were established in 2009 and implemented in 2011.

They recognise organisations across 16 member states that meet international quality standards and management practices. Only national winners qualify to compete at the regional level.

Jandrell said Hartlief’s recognition shows that Namibian products can compete across the continent.

She said the achievement reflects the work of teams in production, quality control and logistics.

She said the award for O&L Leisure reflects the performance of its hospitality teams across lodges and hotels and their role in promoting Namibia as a tourism destination.

The group said the recognition supports its aim to build competitive African brands and confirms that its operations meet regional quality standards.

Ohlthaver & List Group is based in Namibia. O&L Leisure operates hospitality services under the slogan “Namibia Through Our Eyes”.

Hartlief produces meat products for local and regional markets.
