Proflight Zambia will launch flights to Windhoek on 3 March 2026, expanding its regional network.

The service will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, linking Lusaka and Windhoek via Livingstone.

The Lusaka–Windhoek leg will include a 30-minute stopover, during which passengers will remain on board.

The Livingstone–Windhoek route will operate as a direct flight. Morning connections from Ndola to Windhoek and evening connections from Windhoek to Ndola, Solwezi, and Mfuwe will also be available.

Proflight Zambia will be the only carrier offering direct flights on this route.

“Proflight Zambia continues to invest in network expansion and is excited to give travellers more choice destinations and greater travel flexibility. The introduction of flights to Windhoek supports growing demand for reliable, comfortable, and efficient travel options in the Southern African region. Namibia is an important neighbour and trade partner, and this route will make travel between our countries more seamless, whether for tourism, business, or family,” said Proflight Zambia director of flight operations captain Josias Walubita.

He said the route links two major attractions, Victoria Falls and the Namib Desert, and strengthens air connectivity across Southern Africa while positioning Zambia as a tourism and trade hub.

Zambia is one of Windhoek’s largest African origin-destination markets, with an estimated 10 000 two-way international passengers in 2024, up 14% from 2023.

“We warmly welcome Proflight Zambia to Namibia and congratulate them on this timely and vital regional route,” said Namibia Airports Company (NAC) chief executive officer Bisey /Uirab.

He said the new service supports Air Connect Namibia’s strategy to improve air accessibility and promote Namibia as a regional aviation hub.

The route is the result of collaboration between public and private stakeholders, including the NAC, Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Gondwana Collection, Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), Walvis Bay Corridor Group, Namibia Tourism Board (NTB), and the City of Windhoek (CoW).
