Vivo Energy Namibia’s Chief Executive Officer, Stan Mittelman, has announced the company’s commitment to growth through expanding its geographical operations across the country.

This expansion has been marked by the recent reopening of the Southgate Shell service station in the Triple-J area of Windhoek.

The revamped service station now offers a diverse range of services, including well-known retail outlets such as KFC, FreshStop, Seattle Coffee, and many others.

Mittelman has designated this service station as Vivo Energy Namibia’s flagship in the capital.

“This project is quite iconic of what we are trying to do at Vivo.

Two years ago, we embarked on a bold growth strategy to better serve our clients and customers.

In terms of growth, there are different avenues we can explore,” Mittelman stated.

He explained that the company’s growth strategy involves expanding its geographical footprint and finalizing the acquisition of Engine service stations in South Africa, Namibia, and other African countries.

The expansion allows Vivo Energy Namibia to enter the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) market, providing additional value and convenience to its customers.

Mittelman emphasized the possibility of growing the company’s network of service stations, with Vivo Energy constructing 14 to 15 new petrol stations annually in the African continent.

The CEO acknowledged that it took approximately six years of planning to revamp the Southgate Shell service station.

Seeing the project come to fruition is a testament to the company’s commitment to bringing services closer to the people.

Meanwhile, Joe Boyle, the Managing Director of FreshStop, praised Vivo Energy for its robust project that incorporates several retailers.

He pointed to the growth potential for their partnership, mentioning that FreshStop has stores in Swakopmund, Oranjemund, and Ongwediva, all of which opened last year.

The addition of a FreshStop in the capital represents a significant milestone as they continue to serve the country, with plans for a new shop to open in Rocky Crest soon.
