The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) will host the Namibia Energy Connect and Energy Trailblazer Awards 2025 from 4 to 5 November at Droombos in Windhoek.
NYEF said the initiative is not a conventional energy summit but a national platform designed to bring together Namibia’s energy leaders for reflection, collaboration, and celebration.
“It is the first of its kind, uniting stakeholders from oil and gas, renewable energy, green hydrogen, and energy services to shape the country’s energy future.” the forum stated
The event is expected to attract over 1,000 participants, including energy companies, service providers, government leaders, youth, academia, and businesses from across sectors.
NYEF said it will serve as a space for dialogue, partnership building, and showcasing Namibia’s energy potential.
One key feature of the gathering will be the Energy Trailblazer Awards, which will recognise individuals and institutions for their contributions to the energy industry.
Awards will highlight innovation, leadership, sustainability, and impact.
“This is something bold and strategic rooted in youth empowerment, sustainable development, reflection, and partnership building. It is about honouring excellence and creating a space where Namibia’s energy future is shaped by collaboration and vision,” said Andreas Paulus, the director of NYEF.
The Namibia Youth Energy Forum is a national platform committed to empowering youth and promoting inclusive development in the energy sector.
Earlier this year, NYEF held a high-level meeting with the Office of the President to advocate for youth-centred energy policies.
The engagement focused on local content development, policy formulation, and sector transformation. The Presidency reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, inclusivity, and sustainable economic growth.
