Paratus delays release of financial results

Staff Writer

Paratus Namibia Holdings Limited has delayed the publication of its interim financial results for the period ended 31 December 2025.

In a notice to shareholders, the company said the results will be released after the deadline set under the listing requirements of the Namibia Securities Exchange.

The company said the delay follows the rollout of a new operating support system and business support system at Paratus Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd, the group’s main operating subsidiary.

The systems were introduced to support the launch of Paratus’ mobile business.

According to the board, the company needs more time to reconcile and validate operational and financial data linked to the new systems.

Paratus said the additional time will allow the company to ensure that the information used in the interim report is accurate.

The company expects to publish the interim financial results on or before 30 April 2026.

The board said the delay is not linked to any material uncertainty regarding the company’s financial performance.

It added that shareholders will be informed if there are further changes to the expected publication date.

Paratus also apologised for any inconvenience caused by the delayed release of the results.

For the six months ended 31 December 2024, Paratus recorded recurring revenue of N$271 million compared to N$249 million in the same period in 2023, representing growth of 8.8%.

Non-recurring revenue, which mainly includes local area network installations in the commercial sector and the sale of telecommunication equipment, reached N$34.5 million compared to N$25.8 million in the same period the previous year.

This represents growth of 33.4% while the company continues to focus on increasing recurring revenue.

Net profit before tax for the same period stood at N$12.7 million compared to N$32 million recorded in December 2023.

Earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation stood at N$112.5 million compared to N$121.3 million in the previous year.

Operating expenditure increased to N$103 million compared to N$80.9 million recorded in December 2023.
