Niël Terblanché The genocide perpetrated against the Nama and Herero people while Namibia was under the colonial rule of Germany at the beginning of the previous century has for the first time been officially commemorated by the descendants of the victims. The date of the event is crucial because, on 22nd April 1905, German General Lothar von Trotha issued his Extermination order against the Nama people. Hertta-Maria Amutenja The Independent Patriots for Change(IPC) party is embroiled in a N$3.2 million lawsuit after it reportedly failed to pay Anga Enterprise, owned by Gabriela Nietche-Kandolf for promotional branding items and related services the company offered to IPC in 2020. Nietche-Kandolf allegedly says the company supplied promotional items of t-shirts, golf shirts, caps, berets, bucket hats and badges and related services worth of N$ 3.2 million. Stefanus Nashama The 43-year-old Ndafelai Nghilifilwa committed suicide by stabbing himself in the stomach and cutting his own throat with a traditional knife. The incident occurred in full view of his wife, who is seven months pregnant, at Ononge Village in the Constituency of Nehale LyaMpingana of the Oshikoto Region.
