The MoreToLove campaign by Namibia Dairies has been named Advertising Campaign of the Year at the inaugural MTC Branding and Marketing Excellence Awards.

The awards were held at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and marked the end of a three-day branding and marketing indaba that drew more than 400 delegates from Namibia and across Africa.

The recognition formed part of a strong showing for the Ohlthaver & List Group. Its agency, O&L BrandX, was named Agency of the Year.

O&L BrandX managing director Patricia Hoeksema said the award reflects the agency’s focus on authenticity and local storytelling.

She said the results come from consistent delivery and investment in people, partnerships and platforms.

Marketing manager Dalinka Alberto said the campaign connects with people because it reflects everyday life.

She said Oshikandela is more than a product and forms part of daily experiences for many Namibians.

The awards, introduced during the second edition of the MTC Branding and Marketing Indaba, received 109 entries across 15 categories. A total of 44 finalists were shortlisted.

Winners in each category received N$20 000 and a trophy.

Judges said successful campaigns showed what they called the “H-factor”, meaning the ability to connect with people through real and local stories.

In its submission, O&L BrandX highlighted several projects. These included the launch of CollabX, an influencer programme with more than 200 creators, a partnership with Sprout Social and an internal AI marketing initiative.
