Transport company renovates police facilities

The work or at least the administrative work of the Namibian Police’s Explosives Control Division will be made a lot easier after some renovations were done to the administrative building of the unit.

The cost of the renovation work was carried by the FP du Toit transport group and a special ceremony was held to hand over the freshly renovated offices to the commander and members of the unit.

The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of FP du Toit Group, Stephan Terblanche officially handed over the renovated offices of the Explosives Control Division while the Deputy Inspector General for Administration, Major General Anna-Marie Nainda attended to officially take ownership of the facilities.

At the ceremony, Terblanche said that the renovations formed part of the giant transport company’s corporate social responsibility to assist the Namibian Police.

According to Terblanche the renovations includes painting, branding and new fencing around the office block.

After a tour of the facilities Major General Nainda extended gratitude and appreciation to the FP Du Toit Group for assisting the Police

She said that the improved facilities are meant to address the working environment of the receiving Explosives Division.

General Nainda saluted the FP du Toit Group for their willingness to assist and urged members of the specialised unit to look after the administrative facility and make sure that the building is maintained regularly.
