More than 300,000 households registered for drought relief

According to I-Ben Nashandi, the executive director at the Office of the Prime Minister, the drought relief food programme, based on the vulnerability assessment, was originally intended for 172,252 households. “The estimated number of households as per the vulnerability assessment was 172,252 households.  A 14-year-old boy from the Oshitundu village near Oshikuku is facing arrest after a social worker discovered that he repeatedly raped his nine-year-old sister. Tresia Iiyambo, a social worker, registered the case with the Namibian Police in Oshikuku after she found out that the boy committed the crime of rape and incest on several occasions between February and May this year.
