Man arrested for continuously raping niece

THE police in Outapi last Friday arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly raped his 12-year-old niece on numerous occasions.

According to Nampol Spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the suspect was arrested at Onhofi village. In another incident, a 41-year-old man was arrested last Friday for reportedly raping and assaulting his girlfriend at Okeruru village in the Aminuis constituency.

Meanwhile, a man, aged 31 is receiving medical attention at the Katutura State Hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach by a 17-year-old man at a farm near Outjo. The incident occurred last Friday. The suspect has been charged with Attempted murder.

In another attempted murder case, the Police in Rundu are looking for unidentified suspects who reportedly stabbed a 43-year-old Zambian man at Ndama location. According to the police, the victim was stabbed with an unknown object on the chest, arms and face. He us receiving medical treatment at the Rundu State Hospital.

In another incident an inquest has been opened at Oshikuku police station, following the discovery of a lifeless body of an 88-year-old man. The police say the deceased was found in his room at Uukwaniita village.

“He has been sick for a while and his next of kin are informed,” Shikwambi said.

Another inquest was registered at Opuwo Police Station, following the discovery of the remains of a man in his room last weekend. He was found hanging on a rope from the roof of his room. The incident happened at Oukongo village.

A 28-year-old from Oshali sha Shitongeni village also committed suicide last weekend by hanging himself in his room. An inquest has been registered at Ondobe police station.
