Ndonga Linena Constituency votes recount slated for 23 September

Tujoromajo Kasuto THE Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN)’s Chief Electoral Officer, Theo Mujoro, has revealed that votes recount for the Ndonga Linena Constituency for the 2020 Regional and Local Authorities Elections will be this Thursday. This is following a High Court ruling nullifying the results in that constituency. The recounting of votes will take place at 10 am, at the ECN Head Office in Windhoek. Swapo constituency councillor could be heading out …as APP seeks eight months back pay

Andrew Kathindi Swapo party’s Ndonga Linena Constituency councillor in the Kavango East region, Kampota Michael Shiwana, could be forced to relinquish his position. This is after the High Court ordered the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) to disclose to All Peoples Party (APP) 57 ballots that had been rejected.
