Hertta-Maria Amutenja The Police in the Oshikoto Region have arrested a 24-year-old woman from the Okalevona location after she allegedly suffocated her newborn baby last Thursday. Oshikoto Regional Police Commander, Commissioner, Teopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku said the woman, a housekeeper, gave birth to a baby boy while alone in her employer’s house. Afterwards, the suspect used a plastic bag to suffocate the little baby. “The suspect was admitted to Onandjokwe state hospital for treatment, and could only be arrested yesterday following her discharge. Steve Nashama Police in the Oshikoto Region are yet to identify a man who was ran over by a train and died at the scene of the accident last night at Oshifukwa village. According to Oshikoto Regional Commander Commissioner Teopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku his unrecognizable body is currently at the Omuthiya Police mortuary.
