Oshana Police promises to strengthen relationship with community

Stefanus Nashama The Namibian Police in Oshana region say they they will strengthen the already existing relationship with the community, in combating crime. Oshana Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Naftal Sakaria announced the undertaking while speaking during a community engagement with the community of the Okadoolopa district near Ondangwa. Steve Nashama A 55-year-old man was found dead alongside of Okatana road, at Oshakati in Oshana region after shooting himself while being pursued by the police. He was found with a gun wound and a pistol next to his body. It is alleged that the deceased was a passenger in a taxi which the police was following. The police have since identified him as Constable Alex Josef. He was denied bail and his next court appearance is 20 June 2023.
