Tujoromajo Kasuto THE All People’s Party (APP)’s Maria Sirombo Kamutali has been sworn in as member of the National Assembly (NA) today replacing late Ignatius Shixwameni who collapsed and passed on while on NA duties last month. APP’s National Bureau (NB) deliberated and confirmed the gazetted Parliament party list on which Kamutali is third. The NB, the second highest decision-making organ of the party met on the 11th of December in Okahandja. President Geingob to attend Shixwameni’s funeral

Tujoromajo Kasuto The Namibian Presidency has announced that President Hage Geingob will attend the burial of late Ignatius Shixwameni on Saturday in Rundu, in the Kavango-East Region. The 55-year-old Shixwameni died on the 10th of November this year after collapsING at Parliament while attending a standing committee meeting. President Hage Geingob has conferred a state funeral on Ignatius Shixwameni, late President of the All People’s Party (APP). The 55-year-old Shixwameni collapsed at parliament while attending a standing committee meeting last Wednesday. Eba Kandovazu TRIBUTES are pouring in after the passing of the All People's Party President, Ignatius Shixwameni, who collapsed this morning at Parliament, while attending a standing committee meeting. His nephew, Agapitus Hausiku, confirms that Shixwameni suffered a cardiac arrest. Paramedics who arrived 40 minutes after the MP collapsed declared him dead at the scene.
